A new facility that is located in the building belonging to the old tram station that passed through the town and that fell into oblivion at the beginning of the 60s.

This hostel is 90% subsidized by the Provincial Council of Alicante in the Environment area.

Access is through the Camí dels Molins, reaching the old station building. Dista of Beneixama of just about 10 min. on foot, so it has a quick, comfortable and simple access, for anyone who wants to enjoy a place close to the town and at the same time away from the hustle and bustle.

In addition, its location is next to the Greenway declared by the Ministry of Environment, and runs between Yecla and Alcoy, and from there to Gandia or Alicante through the different tramways of the time, the emblematic VAY. An ideal place to practice bicycle or routes on foot. In addition, this road was completed, in October 2004, with the placement of a large iron bridge over the Vinalopó River, taking advantage of the existing pillars of the Chicharra train. So the hostel could not have a better location.

Located in the district of the same name, to the west of Beneixama, located just 3 km from the town, linked to it, by the Villena Highway to Onteniente, or by the Camí dels Molins, which owes its name to the large number of the same ones that were concentrated in him, although all of them are already in disuse.

In winter, about 10 neighbors can be counted, although in summer the population multiplies, possibly reaching 50 inhabitants.

The construction of this shelter falls within the plans of the current municipal corporation to revitalize all our emblematic places, and this is undoubtedly for all of us. The hostel has been built in the facilities of the old schools of the district. In past years, they were attended by a large number of students, children of the inhabitants of the country houses and mills that surrounded him. Until before the performance, they had been preserved, but already losing their academic use, and only having a functionality in the festivity of San Vicente Ferrer, patron saint of Salze, and which unites a long tradition in Valencian culture.

The way to revitalize a place is to give it life, to give it a new meaning, and that is what is intended with the construction of this accommodation, becoming a tourist attraction and a way to stimulate the hamlet, avoiding the monotony that different seasons of the year happens.

The action carried out, consisted in cleaning up the structure, exposing the stone of some of its walls to give it a more rustic appearance, build a large home, in which in winter to light the fire. Toilets and showers were built, and a new wing that housed the kitchen was built, and the rooms (equipped with 16 bunk beds). In addition, it is equipped with electricity and running water.
The result was inaugurated in April 2005, coinciding with the feast of the Patron Saint.

If the location of the previous shelter was in a Replana, it is located on a small promontory in the place known as “La Talaeta”

To access it, you can take the same road, CV 657, from Beneixama to Fontanars. Located at the foot of the mountain that gives its name to the site and in which is located the hermitage of San Isidro, which is venerated and made a pilgrimage in his honor coinciding with the Feast of the Saint in the month of May.

From this lodge you can go hiking through the different paths and paths that surround it, or on the contrary, you can ride by bicycle, because the road you access is a well-known route for cyclists in the area (you can see the route through the link of this page). This lodge has among its facilities: large kitchen, dining room, toilets, and rooms with 20 bunk beds available.

It has stunning views of the entire Beneixama Valley, being able to see all its breadth and neighboring towns.
